This is an interesting place. Home to both a Verizon end office and an AT&T tandem (trailer code 057-T). The AT&T building is on the left, the Verizon buildings (old and new) are in the middle with a regular business (used to be a bank) on the right. Photo 4 is from May 2004 (via Telebeans) when the microwave dishes were still on top.

A very old central office located in an older neighborhood in Norfolk. The building goes on for a large ways in the back and left side. This was one of the last 1AESS switches in Verizon territory (Baltimore Edmonson and Richmond Hull Street were the other two). It is now a packet remote switch as of September 2012 (hosted by VA Beach Chinese Corner). You can also see some of the equipment inside the building (a rare sight) in Photo 2.
